Acronyms for success...

Week Two
Dear reader,

Many organizations and businesses of today have a Mission Statement that outlines what they believe and the purpose for it's existence. But a mission statement may not be enough. Within organizations they create acronyms that help consumers and employees understand the goals of the business. The acronym becomes the heart of the company. In the company that I work for we utilize a mission statement along with an acronym to ensure a full understanding of the company's pledge to our consumers and employees. In addition, to my company's acronym, I have made my own acronym that describes my managing style. S.S.R,
Safety,Simplicity and Respect. I use s.s.r as a managing tool to represent how each associate should perform although, they are simple words, the impact is great when put into action.
Just as important as it is for companies it's very important that we work and live by an acronym for our success.
I chose to live by S.A.D.E. Strength which I must use, whether it's physical or mental. Attitude which must remain positive throughout. Determination I must exercise to finish anything I have started. Excitement which happens when I choose the right goal and what will come once completed.
Do you have an acronym that's keeps you Dreaming and Believing?

  1. Hi Terry,

Interesting topic, I never thought about an acronym for achieving success.
My acronym would be L.H.P - Do what I LOVE (what makes me happy); HELP others who are in need; PRAY to God asking for guidance and giving thanks when I have surpassed an obstacle.
Hhmm, you have really hit the mark Terry, way to go.

  2. Welcome back Lee,
It’s so nice to see people responding. I like your acronym for success. Not many people have faith in GOD. Once they experience the power of him they will truly be bless. As we begin to walk by faith, he shows us our next step to take. As for you GOD has made you a special promise. Every battlefield will be turned to a blessing field, and you will live the abundant life that he promised to you.

  3. Before I really respond, I have to say that you did a great job with coming up with a topic, that's so creative and interesting. Success to me is more of a journey not a destination. In order for me to reach a place where I call success, I have to go beyond the means of what's required for me to get there. The acronym that reminds me everyday of what I'm working towards is W.I.S.D.O.M. W for Wise because everything that I do has to be thought out wisely. I for Intelligence because I do believe the decisions that I make, show that I'm intelligent. S for strong,d for devotion because with every goal that I have, I am devoted to getting them accomplished. O for Optimistic because If I ever want to reach a point in my life, where I feel successful, I have to look at situations in a positive light. M for Mindfull because If I'm not mindfull of certain situations, sometimes people or being in a particular setting, can hold me back from acheiving my success. If I continue to live by this acronym, the sky is the limit of what I can accomplish.

  4. Hello Andrea,

WOW!! WISDOM. That's a very good acronym that you live by. I especially like the "O" in wisdom. Optimism is the key to what I want people here to understand. Hopefulness, enthusiasm and confidence are what I want to instill in many people. There are so many people in the world of today who lack being optimistic. But once the understanding of the word opens in the heart, they will truly see what we see. The sky! As told to me if you want to change your life-go Optimistic.

  5. Hello Terry,
When I think about the changes im making in my life I can sum it up in one powerful word "LOVE".Live my life positively.Only allow myself to focus on my future plans by truly leaving the past in the past.Visualize my life as what I know in my heart it will be.Create that picture in my mind and hold on to it until it is reality.Expect all good things. When we expect things to go wrong it usually does.

I have a new outlook on life.I dont believe in coincidence everthing happens for a reason. You have to put yourself in the right place at the right time and surround yorself with the right people.I know that GOD has a plan for me and for the first time I am truly getting the message that has been sent to me. Im on the road to living my best life through LOVE.......

  6. Welcome back Jen,
Hopefully you are enjoying yourself here. Your acronym “Love” is outstanding. If only we had more Love in this world we’d live in a better place. I often convey to people the importance of leaving the past in the past. Truly, one cannot elevate oneself if stuck in the past. Stretching forward is the key. You mentioned creating a picture and holding on to it until it is reality. I use a term called “DREAMALITY”. Envision the dream and make it a reality and live into it as if already exist.

  7. My acronym is...B.E.L.L.A.
B-stands for belief in all I do. E-stands for exemplifying the gifts I receive from the BIG MAN above. L-stands for loving myself before I can love others. L-stand for learning something new each day. We can never hold too much knowledge. A-stands for accepting others for who they are..for that is what makes them unique.

    Kudos, Terryjp
